 Jeff 

Jeffrey A. Horn, President and CEO

As a recognized association and business leader, Jeffrey A. Horn brings more than 30 years of association, management and real estate experience to BOMI International.

Mr. Horn comes to BOMI from the Somerset County Business Partnership in NJ where he served as Executive Director.  Previously Horn served as executive vice president of Newark Sports and Entertainment Inc., the development arm of the former partnership between the New York Yankees and the New Jersey Nets formed to develop a basketball/hockey arena in Newark, New Jersey. He previously was vice president of land planning and development with the Matrix Development Group, and held positions with the New Jersey Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, Bellemead Development Corporation and the State of New Jersey. Mr. Horn received his undergraduate degree from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, and holds a master’s degree in public administration from the Rutgers University School of Public Affairs and Administration.

Sherry Hewitt 

Sherry Hewitt, Chief Operating Officer & CFO

Sherry Hewitt oversees all BOMI International’s operations and directs its financial and administrative functions. Ms. Hewitt joined BOMI in 1999 after a three month period as a consultant with Resources Connection. Ms. Hewitt spent the previous six years in healthcare, holding the following positions: Chief Financial Officer of Greater Chesapeake Medical Group, L.L.C; Regional Finance Director of Avanti of the District; and Senior Financial Manager at Medical Management Sciences. Prior to her healthcare experience, Ms. Hewitt started her career by spending three years in the Baltimore office of Deloitte & Touche in the audit department. She received an Associates degree from Anne Arundel Community College and a Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Towson University. She is also a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants. 

Operations



Amy McMonigle 

Amy McMonigle, Vice President of Operations (amcmonig@bomi.org)

Amy McMonigle has been with BOMI since 1985 and has held progressive leadership roles, being named the Vice President of Operations in 2003.  Mrs. McMonigle's strategic and management oversight responsibilities include customer service, exam fulfillment, and student and graduate professional development.  Mrs. McMonigle focuses on strengthening customer relationships and company operations through process improvement, product distribution enhancements, and service innovations. Through her guidance, Mrs. McMonigle’s team helps to serve approximately 10,000 customers, oversees the fulfillment of 8,000 orders, and processes 12,000 exams annually. Prior to her current position, Mrs. McMonigle served as BOMI’s CFO. She has also served as Controller/Registrar and Accounting Supervisor. Before joining BOMI, she held positions with Oxford Development Company and Jack Martin and Associates, where she earned an insurance agent’s license. Mrs. McMonigle also holds an Associate of Arts degree in general studies from Anne Arundel Community College. 

Sales & Marketing

 

Dan Owings, Senior Director, Sales and Marketing (dowings@bomi.org)

Dan Owings joined BOMI in 2008 after 20 years in the software and services industry at UPS Logistics Technologies, GeoCom USA and UBS Financial Services, Inc.  Mr. Owings' responsibilities included business development and operations, sales and marketing management, strategic planning and the development of global strategic alliances. Mr. Owings brings significant international business experience to BOMI, particularly in Asia and Latin America.  He successfully spearheaded global expansion and has worked with large multinational clients such as Coca-Cola, Pepsi-Cola, Anheuser-Busch, Frito-Lay, Colgate-Palmolive, 3M and Altria Group.

Mr. Owings holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland, a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in marketing and finance from Loyola College and has completed graduate studies in International Business at The George Washington University.

Information Technology



Randy Saba 

Randy Saba, Director of Information Technology

Randy Saba has been with BOMI since 2003. Mr. Saba serves as BOMI's technology strategist and advisor. His primary responsibility is to lead the Information Services team in the use of technology to advance the organization’s mission and business objectives. Mr. Saba has over 24 years of experience in management, system design, application development, and database administration. His knowledge of developing advanced business and technical solutions has been acquired through his work in the higher education, manufacturing, and distribution industries. Prior to joining BOMI, Mr. Saba served as the Manager of Institutional Technologies for Anne Arundel Community College, where he oversaw computer applications and web development for the administrative systems, database administration, and application training departments. Mr. Saba has also held IT management roles with Land Rover North America, Inc. and SAAB Cars USA, Inc., and early in his career worked as a programmer/analyst for Pitney Bowes.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in information systems management from the University of Maryland University College.
